The term Health Education is still the most widely used in the context of formal education. School-based Health Education includes classroom teaching, teacher training and changes in the school environment that support healthy behaviors.
Topics include: safe water for personal, domestic and community hygiene, adequate nutrition, food sanitation, waste disposal, drug abuse, HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted diseases, life skills, violence, disability, oral health, common diseases, family life education, sex education.
