Most of the researchers
currently believe that the main factors of fibrosis progress are as follows: age at the
moment of infection, alcohol abuse (50 to 80 and more grams recalculated in pure ethanol
alcohol per day), male gender [13]. The rate increases with patient?s age, and if the
patient at the time of infection was over 45 years old, the rate of fibrosis development
up to the third-the fourth stage may increase by several times [13-15]. In this respect
they discuss the factors such as the route of infection (hemotransfusion), virus genotype
(1b), disease duration, viral load, iron load, and other [13-15]. |
