I am an Associate Professor of Epidemiology and the Director of the S. Daniel Abraham International Center for Health and Nutrition at Ben-Gurion University.

My area of interest are paediatric infectious diseases and questions relating to nutrition, growth and development in infants and young children.

In my studies of infectious diseases I have come to realize that the child can not be separated from his/her environment and that the nutritional status of children may be a critical factor in children’s ability to combat infections as well as influencing the degree and rate of recovery.
