Ali Ardalan MD,
MPH is in the late of PhD course of Epidemiology in Department of
Epidemiology and Biostatistics, School of Public Health and Institute of
Public Health Research at Tehran University of Medical Sciences (TUMS),
Iran.
He has assigned as Medical Officer of WHO Field Office at Bam on April, 2004. After the devastating earthquake of Bam, he was dispatched by his school to there for scientific studies. Also, he was consultant of Surveillance System in Bam and Office of Mental Health, MOH on study designs. His activities in Bam were supported by a well composition of academic faculties and health authorities including Dr. Alireza Mesdghinia, Dean of School of Public Health and Institute of Public Health Research at TUMS, Dr. Kourosh Holakouie Nainie, Head of Division of Epidemiology at TUMS, Dr. Mahmoud Nekoie, Dean of School of Public Health at Kerman University of Medical Sciences (KUMS), Dr. Mohammad Reza Aflatounian, Vice-Chancellor for Health at KUMS, Dr. Mohammad Reza Soroush, Dean of National Unit for Control of Food and Waterborne diseases at Center of Diseases management at MOH and Dr. Hengameh Namdari Head of Diseases Surveillance System in Bam. Also, he has been benefited by Dr. Eric Noji, Chief of the Epidemic Surveillance and Bio-Emergency Response Branch at CDC and Professor Ron E. LaPorte, Professor for Epidemiology at the University of Pittsburgh with their JIT comments and receiving useful materials on Disaster Epidemiology.
