Dr.
Cumbey is the Director of Quality Management, Health Services at SC Department of Health
and Environmental Control (DHEC). Her professional background includes 9 years in
Cardiovascular Critical Care, 5 years as Associate Professor at the Medical University of
South Carolina and the Medical University Hospital, and 21 years in public health
management at the district and state levels.
Dr. Cumbey has published research on job satisfaction and
organizational variables of structure, technology and environment. Professional interests
include planning, health outcomes, quality management, job satisfaction, work force
development, performance measurement, risk management, and public health assessment and
evaluation.
