On the occasion of celebrating World Press Freedom Day, the BA Francophone Library is organizing a panel discussion titled “French Media in Arabic: Perceptions and Perspectives in Egypt” in collaboration with the French Embassy in Egypt.
The panel discussion will be led by Nabil Hajlaoui, the Consul General of France in Egypt. It will also include Fouad Mansour, editor-in-chief of Al-Ahram Hebdo; Marc Saïkali, director of France 24 Channel; Moustapha Tossa, a journalist and presenter at Monte Carlo Doualiya Radio; and Amr Khafaga, a journalist and presenter at ONTV Channel.
This panel discussion will present the viewpoints of the participants—who are some of the most well-renowned individuals in the fields of journalism and mass media—concerning French media. It will also tackle the challenges faced by different media under the current circumstances.
The panel discussion will be in Arabic, and simultaneous translation into French will be provided throughout the event.
