Located on the (B1) floor, the Francophone Library was established as a result of an exceptional donation from the French National Library (BnF) to the BA. The donation was a collection of 500,000 French books, covering different fields, published between 1996 and 2006. As a result of this donation, the BA Francophone Library became the fourth largest francophone library in the world with the biggest collection of French books outside of France.

The Francophone Library aims to promote this donation by offering various services to the public pertaining to different fields of study. Within this framework, the library team facilitates access to all types of references and information through the Reference Desk which assists library visitors by answering their questions directly or offering them different types of applications.

The Francophone Library organizes diverse activities and events such as seminars; competitions; workshops on writing, literature, cultural diversity, and poetry; and reading and storytelling workshops for children. It also organizes book fairs on a regular basis, each time adopting a different theme.

The Francophone Library employees undergo librarianship training programs, either in French libraries or at the BA, to be able to efficiently assist library visitors. The Francophone Library team offers francophone students and researchers specialized training sessions in the following fields: information science, cultural work in libraries, journalistic writing, communication, and presentation tools.

The Francophone Library utilizes the BA status to form a global francophone network in order to take its rightful place at the heart of the local and global francophone community.
