The lecture will discuss the castle’s position as the state’s headquarters during the Ayyubid period and until after the Ottoman period. The castle was the center of attention of the many sultans and kings who ruled at the time.

The lecture will be given by Dr. Mohamed Hamdi Metwaly, researcher of Islamic Antiquities at the Public Administration of Research and Archaeological Studies and Scientific Publishing.
