The BA Hosts Amrik —the Arab Presence in South America Exhibition

Alexandria— The BA Arts Center, in cooperation with the Embassy of Brazil in Cairo, will organize photographic exhibition entitled Amrik —the Arab Presence in South America during the period from 21 February to 15 March 2008. Maestro Sherif Mohie Eldin, Director of the BA Arts Center, stated that the Exhibition includes 140 photos by 23 famous photographers from 10 South American countries. The photos reflect the encounter that took place between the Arab and South American civilizations, which helped shape South America’s identity.
The Exhibition celebrates the cultural exchange and the historic ties between the two cultures. The Exhibition features photos taken by South American photographs reflecting the Arab presence in South America and emphasizing the Arab scientific and cultural knowledge transferred to South America.
The Exhibition will be held in the BA Conference Center, East Exhibition Hall.
