Serageldin Gives a Lecture in Riyadh on Technological Advances

Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, will give a lecture on Monday, 31 March 2008, at King Faisal Center for Research and Islamic Studies, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The lecture is entitled "Technological Advances in the World". Dr. Ismail Serageldin will meet his Royal Highness Prince Turki Bin Abdul Aziz and Prince Salman Bin Abd al-Aziz, Governor of Riyadh.
Dr. Khaled Azab, Director of the BA Media Department will accompany Dr. Serageldin in his visit to Riyadh. Dr. Khaled stated that the lecture will tackle the tremendous development that occurs daily in science and technology, at a time when the Arab world is not taking part in this developmental leap; Arabs are still only users of technological applications rather than producers of knowledge and technology.
