Alexandria— The Children’s, Young Peoples’ and Taha Hussein for Visually Impaired Specialized Libraries are organizing a multi-activities event on Wednesday, 3 December 2008, on the occasion of the International Day of Disabled Persons.

Dr. Sohair Wastawy, Head of Library Sector, stated that the BA is organizing this event as part of its cultural and enlightening role. She pointed out that the BA seeks to shed lights on the necessity of mingling children with disabilities with normal children, since the former are an integral part of the society. The BA will also honor children who succeeded in overcoming their disability and made achievements in their lives, so that they would serve as model to all disabled children.

World organizations celebrate this Day (3 December) every year all over the world by holding special activities to spread awareness among all classes of the society on the rights of children with special needs.
