Alexandria—The BA Seventh Alexandria International Book Fair, held between 19 February and 4 March 2009, will include seminars hosting a number of eminent Arab writers.
Egyptian Writer and Litterateur Lamis Gaber will speak about her experience with the television series El-Malek Farouq (King Farouk) in which she consumed 17 years of her life among references until the script was finished. El-Malek Farouq (King Farouk) is considered one of the most important historic television series. It reintroduced King Farouk of Egypt to the public in an appealing way that is perhaps why the series was popular yet also controversial.
Gaber is married to Egyptian Actor Yehia El-Fakharany. El-Malek Farouq (King Farouk), produced in 2007, is perhaps her most popular work, in addition to her film Mabrouk we Bolbol (Mabrouk and Bolbol), produced in 1998. She will meet visitors of the Fair on Sunday, 22 February 2009 at 7 pm.
