The Second Future of Sustainability Debate at the BA

Alexandria—The BA, in cooperation with the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), through the Regional Office for West Asia (ROWA), is organizing the 2nd Future of Sustainability Debate, entitled “Mainstreaming Environment in Social Corporate Responsibility” on 4 June 2009.
This Forum aims to contribute to (1) enhancing our understanding of the relationship between global challenges (economic, social and environmental); (2) better understand the position of businesses responsibility and response in relation to their social, economical and environmental footprint; and (3) discuss potential region-specific innovative responses which can tie environment, economy, and poverty reduction together through Corporate Environmental and Social Responsibility (CESR) and could show that investment in environment generates prosperity, environmental security and sustainability.
