Training of Trainers on AIDS for Physicians and Dentists

Alexandria—The BA Depository Library- World Bank Public Information Center, in collaboration with the Egyptian Aids Society and the Department of Health in Alexandria are organizing Training of Trainers Workshop on AIDS for physicians and dentists working in the Ministry of Health in Alexandria. The first workshop will take place on 13 and 14 June 2009, while the second one will be held on 17 and 18 June 2009.
The sixth goal in the United Nations Millennium Development Goals have stated “combat HIV/AIDS, malaria, and other diseases”. In that context, these workshops are organized aiming at enhancing the skills of workers in the health field, so that they would be better able to fulfill their various roles in raising awareness and taking care of patients. The workshops also aspire to eradicate stereotypes and discrimination exercised on AIDS patients.
