Muslim Scholars a TV Program Produced by the BA

Aired daily on the Egyptian TV Channel One, the “Muslim Scholars” Program, produced by the BA Studio, focuses on scholars in different fields of science, such as Medicine, Chemistry, Sociology, and Physics. It aims at introducing the achievements of the Islamic civilization in different fields of science and knowledge to the audience.
The TV program is presented by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, and directed by Medhat Mekawy. It takes the viewers on a journey through time and place with scholars, who participated in the progress of humanity. These include Ibn Khaldun, the founder of Sociology; Ali Ibn Ridwan, the Egyptian Physician; Ibn al-Nadim, the Linguist; Jabir Ibn Hayyan, the Chemist, Al-Maqrizi, the Egyptian Historian.
The program reviews the biographies of Muslim scholars from their birth until their death, through their scientific achievements and writings, their manuscripts and inventions, and through scenes of their hometowns.
