Sustainable Development Indicators Conference at the BA

Alexandria—The BA Center for Special Studies and Programs (CSSP) organizes a Conference entitled “Sustainable Development Indicators” (SDI) on 7 and 8 December 2009.
The Conference tackles several themes including biodiversity, green accounting, environmental policy laws, current practices and environmental risk management. It also addresses the urgency of using these indicators in order to meet the information needs of policymakers.
SDI are meant to track the overall sustainability of a society, with respect to its environmental, social and economic integrity, and they are used as a diagnostic tool to indicate trends in the environment.
Deadline for registration is 30 November 2009.
