Nikkei Newspaper Delegation Visits BA

A delegation from the Japanese newspaper Nikkei visited the BA on 15 January 2017.
The delegation toured the BA Main Reading Hall and visited the Our Digital World Exhibition, where they were introduced to various digital and technological projects. Their tour also included the Internet Archive, the Taha Hussein Library, as well as the different BA exhibitions and museums, such as the Impressions of Alexandria Exhibition, the Manuscripts Museum, the Antiquities Museum, and the Sadat Museum. They learned about the BA, its different centers, and its cultural and educational services.
The delegation praised the architectural design of the BA as well as its collections of artifacts, books, and resources. They stated that the BA is indeed a greatly significant cultural landmark in Alexandria and that its reading hall and library are equivalent to the most renowned and the largest libraries in the world.
