Writing and Personality

The
Bibliotheca Alexandrina in collaboration with the Italian Consulate
organized a seminar entitled “Writing and Personality”.
Dr.
Alessandra Lumachelli, the handwriting analysis Expert at the District
Attorney’s office in Italy, delivered the lecture. The lecture revolved around
the science of Graphology, which is the science that deals with
handwriting starting from children’s drawings and scribbles up to mature
handwriting.
Dr.
Lumachelli stated that Graphology is a distinct science with special features
and rules. She said that “it is not a science that foretells the future like
reading the palm of your hand or reading what the stars are hiding”. She made
it very clear that the science of writing is very useful in many fields.
It can be used in schools for identifying the educational problems of the
students from their handwritings; in identifying family problems; in choosing a
suitable partner; in a company or foundation in the process of recruiting new
employees; in law firms and courts for discovering forgery and knowing the
writers of anonymous letters; and in the field of Medicine where it enables a
physician to follow up the progress of certain cases like mental disturbances
and nervous breakdown.
After
graduating from the Classical Lyceum and obtaining a Degree in Economics, Dr.
Lumachelli obtained a Diploma in Graphological Consultation and a Masters Degree
in Child Psychology. She takes part in the enrolment of Graphological Experts’
List of the Law Courts in Italy. She wrote a book on immigration. She worked as
an MEP (Member of European Parliament) Assistant at the European Parliament in
Brussels, Belgium. She works as a teacher and as a Graphological Consultant for
law courts.
She
contributes to “Attualita’ Grafologica” (Graphological News), the monthly
review of A.G.I., the Italian Graphological Association. As a Graphological
Expert, she contributes to some Internet sites (for families and children). She
took part in many individual seminars and in TV transmissions, such as programs
for R.A.I., Italian Radio & Television, on graphology.
Dr.
Alessandra Lumachelli was born in Tuscany, Italy. She has one child. She speaks
Italian, English, Spanish and French.
