The BA Inaugurates New Permanent Exhibitions of Egyptian Contemporary Art

Alexandria—Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, inaugurates on Thursday, 4 March 2010, new permanent exhibitions featuring selections from Egyptian contemporary art. Exhibitions vary from painting, sculpture and pottery.

These Exhibitions include two permanent exhibitions of the two late artists Hamed Said and Hassan Soliman, in addition to permanent exhibitions of Adam Henein and Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, the Permanent Sculpture Collection, and Movement and Art by Seif and Adham Wanly. The Artist Book and Mohie El-Din Hussein exhibitions will also be inagurated after their renovation.

The inauguration is followed by a celebration honoring Artisit Salah Marei, who designed these exhibitions and supervised their installation.
