The Third International Water History Association

December— Dr. Ismail Seragaldin, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina,
discussed at conference on water the problems of managing water resources and
how to deal with them. His statement was made at the opening of the third international water history association conference held at the library. He attributed most of water
problems to incorrect human behavior and inefficient water management. He also
elaborated on some controversial issues such as water pricing and dams.
The
conference is expected to discuss a number of issues including historical
perspective of water supply in Kuwait, another that advises means of water management
in the Nile basin, and a research paper public-private cooperation in water
services.
The conference which began its sessions at
the Bibliotheca Alexandrina on 11th December and will last for 4
days.
