The Petty Bourgeois in a Play Reading at the BA

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in Arabic on Wednesday, 31 March 2010. Participants will read The Petty Bourgeois by Maxim Gorky.
This play takes place in the household of a bourgeois workers’ supervisor who, in spite of being well off, feels anxious because of problems at work, in addition to his sons and daughters problems. His eldest son was fired from university, his daughter did not get married and his adopted son is a mechanic who does not hesitate to criticize his family’s way of living and thinking and invites them to socialism.
The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
