Julius Caesar in a Play Reading at the BA

Posted on

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in English on Wednesday, 14 April 2010. Participants will read Julius Caesar by William Shakespeare.

One of Shakespeare’s Roman tragedies, the play deals with the rise and fall of Caesar and his friend Marcus Brutus. Brutus joins conspirators in killing Caesar for fear of his potential political ambitions. When stabbed, Caesar --in total disbelief-- utters his last famous phrase, "Et tu, Brute?". But the death of Caesar eventually brought about the fall of Brutus who is, in Mark Antony’s words, “the noblest Roman of them all”.

The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
