Celebrating the World Environment Day and the International Biodiversity Day

The World Bank Public Information Center (PIC)- the BA Depository Library, in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) organizes a ceremony on the occasion of the World Environment Day and the International Biodiversity Day, on 27 May 2010.
The Ceremony is held under the auspices of Engineer Maged George, Minister of State for Environmental Affairs; Dr. Hani Helal, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research; General Adel Labib, Governor of Alexandria; and the French Embassy, with the participation of several Good Will Ambassadors and public figures interested in environmental affairs.
The Ceremony includes exhibitions from the Ministries of Environmental Affairs, Culture, Education, and Sports and Youth, in addition to the Alexandria Governorate, the University of Alexandria, the UNEP, and other non-governmental organizations.
A documentary film about the activities of the International Year of Biodiversity 2010 in Egypt will also be screened in addition to performances from the Ministry of Culture.
The Ceremony is held at the BACC Great Hall at 10:00 am, and is open for public.
