The IIPC is a membership organization founded in 2003. It is dedicated to improve the tools, standards, and practices of web archiving while promoting international collaborations and the broad access and use of the web.

In order to capture the marvels of the digital age, the BA has taken on web archiving as a vital part of its various digital endeavors to better document history for future generations.

The BA first joined the IIPC in October 2010, opening up new venues for collaboration and exchange experiences in the field of web archiving with other institutions worldwide. The BA is currently working on web crawling while focusing on Egyptian and Arabic content. It is also worth mentioning that the BA team has presented the newly developed Crawl Log Animator tool in the IIPC General Assembly 2016, which depicts the web crawling process using an animated graph and facilitating the procedure of tracking the crawl logs and reports.
