Legal and Constitutional Awareness Program

The BA Dialogue Forum holds a legal and constitutional awareness program including a series of sessions by eminent legal and constitutional experts during May and June 2011.
The program aims to spread awareness on the constitution and the laws governing the state and drawing its main features. The seminars tackle the definition of the constitution, the difference between the civil state and the religious state, constitutional rights, setting a national plan for development based on constitutional guarantees, and establishing political parties.
The first of these seminars is held on 23 May 2011 entitled “Constitutions between the Religious Source and the Civil State” hosts Dr. Mohamed Nour El-Din Farahat, Professor of the Philosophy of Law, and Chancellor Tahany El-Gebaly, Deputy President of the Supreme Constitutional Court. The seminar is moderated by Chancellor Youssef Waguih.
All seminars are held at the BACC at 5:30 pm, and are open to public.
