AGRICULTURE IN ANCIENT EGYPT

Posted on

Within the framework of disseminating Egypt's natural heritage and raising awareness about the environment among children and young people, the BA Center for Documentation of Cultural and Natural Heritage (CULTNAT), in cooperation with the BA Library Sector, organized a workshop for children and youth entitled “Plants and Agriculture in the Egyptian Environment’, which introduced children to the Egyptian environment and the history of its plants, their types, importance, and various forms. It also reviewed the parts of the plant and its uses in all aspects of life, whether in food, drink, or medicine. At the end of the workshop, each child cultivated one type of plant as part of the BA activities during the mid-year vacation.
