The BA Wins Major Awards at the Arab Robotics Championship

The BA Planetarium Science Center participated in the 13th Arab Open Robotics Championship, which took place at the Youth Sports Center in Sharm El-Sheikh, from 1 to 4 July 2022. The tournament was organized under the auspices of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Egyptian Federation of Electronic Games, and the Smart Company for Integrated Solutions and Training.
Since 2008, the Arab Open Robotics Championship has been the largest robotics tournament held in the Arab region. It hosts more than 1000 students from 12 Arab countries, in addition to 70 accredited jurors from the Arab Robotics Association.
A selection of educational institutions concerned with robotics in all Arab countries took part in the tournament.
This year’s championship witnessed the participation of nearly 120 teams from 12 Arab countries.
BA teams “Shinobi” and “Bematists ranked first and third respectively.
Moreover, a number of students from the BA Planetarium Science Center’s teams came first, fifth, and seventh as part of Egypt’s First International Championship for Electronic Games, which was held on the sidelines of this year’s Arab Robotics Championship.
