“Year of Civil Society” Conference at the BA

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Solidarity, is organizing a conference entitled "The Year of Civil Society… Development and Partnership in the New Republic", on 1 and 2 November 2022. The event will witness a large presence of NGOs from all over the Egypt, as well as executive and legislative leaders, media professionals and public figures.
The two-day conference includes several sessions that aim to discuss the general perspectives with regard to the development of civil society, the activation of its role in the community, and the strengthening of its partnership with the government. It will also review the efforts of NGOs in national initiatives such as “Decent Life” and the “100 Million Healthy Lives” campaign, and will raise the awareness of the concepts of citizenship, while promoting the principles of community development. Additionally, a number of officials, parliamentarians, experts and civil servants will speak at the conference.
It is worth mentioning that an exhibition of the products and publications of some of the participating NGOs will be organized on the sidelines of the event.
