The Bibliotheca Alexandrina has released a book on Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club, which sheds light on one of the sports icons of the city of Alexandria. It was written by Dr. Mahmoud Ezzat and Engineer Amr Sabry, and revised by the Club’s Documentation Committee. It also includes forewords by Dr. Moustafa El-Feki and Mr. Mohamed Mouselhy, President of the Club.
This book documents the history of Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club and its role in Egyptian sports locally, regionally and internationally, along with its achievements, championships and major figures.
Founded in 1914, Al-Ittihad Alexandria Club is one of the oldest sports clubs in Egypt, and the second oldest sports club in Alexandria after the Olympic Club.
