The BA Establishes a New Embassy of Knowledge at Alamein International University

Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and Prof. Essam Al-Kurdi, President of Alamein International University, signed a cooperation agreement to establish a BA Embassy of Knowledge at the University.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Ashraf Farrag, Supervisor of the BA Embassies of Knowledge Project, and Dr. Rushdi Zahran, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Alamein International University, with the presence of the BA Heads of Sectors.
Dr. Ahmed Zayed said that Alamein University will be the first private university to establish an Embassy of Knowledge, and praised the role of private universities, stressing that they are a great pride for Egypt and that they are based on a high degree of efficiency and quality, as he hoped for greater cooperation with the University in the future.
Moreover, he expressed his delight with this cooperation agreement, pointing out that this is the 24th Embassy of Knowledge established in Egyptian universities, as he looked forward to establishing other Embassies at private universities.
For his part, Dr. Essam Al-Kurdi said that this cooperation will allow university students to benefit from the different BA services, such as the Digital Assets Repository, the Description de l’Egypte, Al-Hilal Digital Archive, as well as the Memory of Modern Egypt Project.
He also added that the Embassy of Knowledge will give access to several BA websites, in addition to the Conference Center’s webcasting service, which allows Embassy visitors to watch live events with high speed internet.
