Inauguration of “Visions of Abstraction” Exhibition at the BA

The Bibliotheca inaugurated “Visions of Abstraction” exhibition, which features the works of Nazli Madkour and Menhat-Allah Helmy, at the BACC West Exhibition Hall.
The ceremony witnessed the presence of Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, artist Nazli Madkour, writer Mohamed Salmawy, Dr. Abdulaziz Almusallam, Chairman of the Sharjah Institute for Heritage and artist Dr. Hussein Al-Shaboury.
Dr. Zayed said that the BA always prioritizes the display of artworks, expressing his delight at the organization of this exhibition at the Library.
The artist Nazli Madkour said that the idea of staging an exhibition at the BA dedicated to her and the artist Menhat-Allah Helmy is a great honor, as the BA is an important global cultural edifice. She was also pleased to share this exhibition with Menhat-Allah Helmy, the pioneering graphic artist, whose work did not receive sufficient exposure and was understudied.
