“Psychological Wellbeing” in YP Library Parents Program

The BA Young People’s Library is organizing the eighth season of its Parents Program, under the theme “Psychological Wellbeing for All”, from 18 June to 28 August. The Program offers numerous seminars, lectures and workshops for all family members.
The first workshop this summer will be delivered by educational consultant Hanan Sabry, who uses educational games to simplify psychological concepts. Other workshops include “The Power of Family Communication” by Dr. Pakinam Boland, “Two Hours as a Teenager” by Dr. Hajar Marei and “Building a Teenager’s Resume” by Dr. Hanan Al-Muzahi.
Throughout July, several events will be organized, including “Compassion Day”, in collaboration with the Egyptian Compassion Team, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Dobie, as well as a discussion between teenagers and their parents, conducted by UCB Canada team. The Program also includes a cultural event on therapy and writing, delivered by distinguished group of doctors/writers, namely Dr. Ayman Hamed, Dr. Manal Al-Daghar and Dr. Moustafa Al-Nahhas, together with two other workshops led by Nancy Kadri and psychologist Dina Helmy. In addition, an interactive seminar discussing the impact of social media on mental health, presented by Dr. Jaidaa Mekki, will be held as part of the Program.
The Program will also host Mr. Emad Al-Adly in a monthly meeting throughout the summer, and will resume its personal storytelling workshops, conducted by Ms. Iman Nabil, Mr. Marwan Mansour and Mr. Ali Ahmed.
It is worth noting that the program is offered free of charge and is open to all family members.
