The Inauguration of “Czech and Egyptian Heroines” Exhibition at the BA

Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, and H.E. Mr. Ivan Jukl, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Egypt, inaugurated the "Czech and Egyptian Heroines" exhibition, which will run until 15 July 2023, and is organized in cooperation with the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Cairo, the Czech centers, and the European Union Delegation in Egypt.
Dr. Zayed expressed his delight at hosting this exhibition at the BA, which showcases the success stories of women from Egypt and the Czech Republic, stressing that women play a heroic role in society. He also added that Egyptian women are currently receiving support from the political leadership, and have become a pivotal part of the formation of the Egyptian government and parliament, and in various sectors, including the Bibliotheca Alexandrina.
Ambassador Ivan Jukl said that the idea of the exhibition started years ago, and that the exhibition was held in several countries around the world. He stated that the exhibition was first staged at the Aswan International Women's Film Festival in March 2023, and later in the cities of Luxor and Cairo, noting that the project will continue until December 2023.
Mr. Jukl also added that the exhibition presents the artistic output of students from the Ladislav Sutnar Faculty of Design and Art (University of West Bohemia), and the Faculty of Fine Arts (Helwan University).
