A Poetry Evening for the Great Poet Dr. Ahmed Taymour at Sinnari House

The BA Sinnari House in Cairo is organizing a poetry evening dedicated to the great poet Dr. Ahmed Taymour, member of the Institut d'Égypte, on Tuesday, 11 July 2023, at 7:00 pm.
The evening will be moderated by Ayman Adly, Chairman of the Media Syndicate’s Training and Education Committee, with the participation of a group of writers, intellectuals and poets.
The evening will revolve around the poetry collections of Dr. Ahmed Taymour, as the poet will recite some of his most famous poems. The event will also explain the linguistic aesthetics, rhythms and different poetic styles, as well as the role of poetry in expressing culture, heritage and identity, and its current position in literature, culture and arts. An artistic segment delivered by the singer Muhammad Al-Zahhar will be presented as part of the event.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Ahmed Taymour graduated from the Faculty of Medicine, Cairo University, and is a professor emeritus and head of the Ahmed Taymour Medical Ozone Unit at the Faculty of Medicine, Al-Azhar University.
Several poetry evenings have been held in tribute to him, the most important of which are those dedicated annually to him at the Cairo Opera House, and those held in his honor at the United Nations building in New York.
