BA Director Receives the International Cooperation Officer at the African Export-Import Bank

Prof. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, received yesterday Dr. Christiane Abou Lehaf, the International Cooperation Officer at the African Export-Import Bank, and her accompanying delegation, and Ambassador Mona Omar, Chairperson of the Foreign Relations Committee of the National Council for Women, to discuss ways of cooperation between the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank).
Prof. Zayed expressed his desire to hold a conference at the BA to meet with African intellectuals, pointing out that the BA is exerting every effort to put Africa in the Library's work plan, as it includes a unit dedicated to library services for Africa.
Dr. Christian Abou Lahaf stated: "We are celebrating the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the bank, which includes more than 53 African countries, in addition to international institutions and five projects in different African countries.” She also mentioned that the bank has several different programs within the American University.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Abou Lahaf presented Dr. Zayed with a set of publications, as he gifted a selection of BA publications to the accompanying delegation.
