The BA Writing and Scripts Center is organizing the 15th Arabic Calligraphy Competition for Alexandria school students.
The competition is held annually between students from the three stages of education (primary, preparatory and secondary). Winners will be awarded special prizes from the BA, in addition to prizes provided by the Directorate of Education in Alexandria, together with certificates of appreciation for outstanding students. It should be noted that the BA will adopt these talents and refine their skills in the future.
The jury will be chaired by Mr. Mohamed Al-Maghrabi, former Director of the Mohamed Ibrahim School of Arabic Calligraphy, who will be assisted by Ms. Shaimaa Al-Faham, a researcher in the field of Arabic calligraphy, and one of the participants of the first round of the competition.
The awards ceremony will take place on Tuesday, 12 December 2023, in the BACC Lecture Hall, in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education, a group of Arabic calligraphy professors, Arabic language and art education teachers, social workers and parents.
