The Launch of the BA Podcast

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is always keen to host the most distinguished figures of culture, thought, and art in Egypt and the Arab world. Hence, the idea of the "Bibliotheca Alexandrina Podcast" was launched to explore the life journey of major figures in various fields and shed light on their professional and creative careers, achievements, and challenges that have played a key role in changing the course of their lives.
In its first season, which was launched on the sidelines of the 19th round of the BA International Book Fair, the podcast hosted a large number of intellectuals and thinkers, most notably Inas Gohar, former Head of the Middle East Radio and the Egyptian Radio; Dr. Hagar Saad El-Din, former Head of the Holy Quran Network; the satirical poet Yasser Qatamesh; and the poet and writer Ahmed Al-Shahawy.
The podcast also hosted Prof. Hussein Hammouda, writer, literary critic, journalist, and professor of Modern Arabic Literature at the Faculty of Arts, Cairo University; Prof. Mohamed Saber Arab, former Minister of Culture and Professor of Modern Arab History at Al-Azhar University; and Prof. Maged Osman, former Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
