The BA Welcomes a Delegation from the Monastery of St. Abraam

The Bibliotheca Alexandrina welcomed a delegation from the Monastery of St. Abraam on Thursday, and was received by Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, as part of the Library’s efforts to promote cultural and heritage cooperation with church institutions that play a leading role in preserving Coptic heritage.
Dr. Zayed welcomed the 15 members of the delegation and gave them a brief tour of the Library building. He also presented them with a set of the “Heritage of Humanity” youth series, which has featured 100 titles to date. In turn, the head of the delegation presented Dr. Ahmed Zayed with The Encyclopedia of Fayoum.
The tour included a visit to the museums, exhibitions, the Planetarium Science Center, and the Culturama Hall.
