The BA Manuscript Museum has finished the restoration of the third collection of the Orthodox Patriarchate manuscripts.
The restoration process was carried out in accordance with the latest international restoration standards in order to preserve the manuscripts’ originality, identity and historical significance.
A long-term memorandum was signed between the BA and the Patriarchate for a grand restoration project that may take up to six years. The BA Restoration Laboratory restores about 600 original and rare manuscripts that reflect orthodox church traditions and highlight the Islamic-Christian cultural interaction.
