Waste Incinerators: A discussion at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA

Alexandria — As a part of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina’s effort to raise the environmental awareness of university students, the BA is organizing a scientific discussion with university students on Tuesday, 9 May 2006, entitled Waste Incinerators and their Hazards. The discussion will focus on waste incinerators, incinerator emissions, international restrictions on the use of these incinerators, and the use of other alternatives to reduce the hazards of the incinerators that would lead to serious health and environmental problems. The discussion will be chaired by Dr. Salah Soliman, Professor of Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University.
The seminar will start at 16:00 hrs at the Meeting Room, the BA Conference Center.
