The Effects of the Deterioration of Biodiversity

Alexandria — The Youth for Sustainable Development and Better Understanding Program organized by the Center for Special Studies and Programs is holding a series of lectures on education, environment, and population growth. In this context, the center is organizing a lecture on Saturday, 22 July 2006, entitled Can We Live on Earth Alone or Do We Need Biodiversity? by Dr. Salah Soliman, Professor of Pesticide Chemistry and Toxicology, Faculty of Agriculture, Alexandria University. The lecture will discuss the deterioration of biodiversity which directly affects human beings. Biodiversity means the variety of the organic living organisms from marine and land ecological systems, and aquatic life sources.
The lecture will start at 17:00 hrs at the Meeting Hall, at the BA Conference Center, open to the public.
