Lecture: Natural Protectorates and Biodiversity in Egypt

Alexandria — the BA will hold on Monday, 14 August, a lecture by Ahmed Gad, Researcher at Al-Ameed Protectorate on Natural Protectorates, its kinds, and locations in Egypt.

The natural protectorates are geographically limited areas governed by the protectorates geographic boundaries laws and laws protecting natural resources. The international strategies for protecting nature emphasize the importance of natural resources for sustainable development. The protection of the natural resources can be achieved through different mechanisms including the protection of existing ecosystems, which affects human beings and their growth. These mechanisms also include preserving genetic diversity, which affects animal and plant reproduction, and ensuring the fair use of ecosystems by human beings to secure their sustainability.

The lecture will start at 12:00 hrs at the BA Auditorium.
