The First Film Festival for Intercultural Dialogue

Alexandria — the BA Arts Center, in cooperation with the Audio-Visual Development Foundation (Cadre), and the Supreme Council for Culture in Cairo is organizing the First Film Festival for Intercultural Dialogue from 11-21 September 2006. The festival is the first to exclusively present films on intercultural dialogue to support cultural exchange, freedom of expression, and values of democracy and peace.
It is worth mentioning that the festival is a yearly event organized by Cadre, an Egyptian cultural foundation supporting freedom of expression, cultural diversity, and tolerance.
The festival will be held yearly on a fixed date from 11-21 September. The festival opens on September 11, 2006 to stress the importance of intercultural dialogue, and closes on September 21 2006, which is the International Peace Day, according to the UN resolution on 7 September 2001.
