Farouk Shehata Exhibition at the BA

Alexandria— the BA Arts Center is organizing from 7-27 December 2006 an exhibition honoring Artist Farouk Shehata, pioneer of contemporary art. The exhibition features different historic stages reflected in the artists works, especially those embodying the tragedies of the Palestinians.
Farouk Shehata, Professor Emeritus at the Graphics Department, Faculty of Fine Arts, Alexandria University, won several awards, medals, and certificates of merit from different biennales, exhibitions, and artistic associations. In 1999, He won the State’s Incentive Award in Arts. In 2006, Farouk Shehata won the State’s Merit Award for his artistic contributions in Egypt and the rest of the world.
The exhibition will be start at 19:00 hrs on the B1.
