A New Agreement Between the BA and the Egyptian Cabinet

The BA witnesses on Saturday, 19 July 2008 the signing of a Deposit
Agreement between the BA and the Egyptian Cabinet according to which the Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) publications will be deposited at the BA Depository Library.
The Signing Ceremony will take place in the Hall of Fame. Both Dr. Maged Othman, Director of the Information and Decision Support Center and Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the BA will give an opening speech, followed by a speech by Dr Sohair Wastawy, Head of the BA Library Sector. The ceremony will be followed by a tour of the Depository Library guided by a librarian to introduce the contents and the most important publications in the Library’s collections.
It is worth noting that the BA Depository Library helps researchers in all fields, as it contains official documents of the UN and the affiliate organizations such as FAO, WHO, ILO, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNHCR, along with the complete archive of the General Assembly, the Security Council resolutions and all the specialized organizations. It also contains all the treaties which have been certified as well as explanatory maps, geographical information on the UN member states.
The event will start at 18.00 hrs. in the Hall of Fame in the BA Main Entrance.
