A High Profile Emirati Delegation at the BA

Alexandria—Sheikh Maged bin Hamad bin Rashid Al-Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Art Authority, and Mr. Jumaa Al- Majid, Chairman of Jumaa Al-Majid Center for Culture and Heritage, accompanied by a high profile delegation, visited the BA on Sunday 24 May 2009.
The delegation was received by Dr. Ismail Serageldin, Director of the Library of Alexandria, who took the delegation on a tour of the Library’s projects and services, in addition to its main facilities, such as the Manuscripts Museum, Antiquities Museum, Sadat Museum, Internet Archive, Culturama Show, and the “Impressions of Alexandria” Exhibition (the Awad Collection).
Sheikh Al- Maktoum and Mr. Al-Majid praised the BA projects, and highlighted the importance of the cultural cooperation between the BA and the Emirati cultural organizations.
Dr. Serageldin donated a collection of the BA publications, including Innovation and Tradition in Islamic Architecture to the delegation.
