Etlala Forum hosted at the BA

Alexandria—As of June 2009, the BA will host Etlala Alexandrian Literary Forum. Etlala is an unofficial literary gathering that was launched in 2002 in Alexandria. The Forum is not affiliated to a specific institution nor follows a certain ideology. Run by its own members, it aims to highlight their literary talents, resulting in a vibrant cultural movement in the society.
Etlala is based on group work, diversity, acceptance, and creativity. It aspires to promote its members’ literary skills, nurture the cultural movement, activate the role of young writers, encourage intellectual exchange, support emerging talents, and finally enhance communication with the society.
Seminars tackle various literary forms in open discussions attended by their writers. They are held each Saturday at 6:00 pm at the BA Meeting Room E.
