Fahrenheit 451 in the Second Phase of the Big Read

Alexandria—Within the activities of the Big Read, Egypt/US Project, which aims at introducing American literature to Egyptian readers and vice versa, the BA organizes a film screening of Fahrenheit 451 on Monday, 20 July 2009.
The Film is screened during the second phase of the project, which includes various activities around the novel Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Released in 1966, the Film is directed by François Truffaut, and starring Oskar Werner, Cyril Cusack and Julie Christie. The Film is screened with Arabic subtitles. It will be preceded by an Introduction by Mr. Ahmed Nabil, Film Program Coordinator at the BA Arts Center.
The first phase of the project witnessed several activities around the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
Film screening takes place at the BA Auditorium at 7:00 pm. It is open for public, free of charge.
