Former Greek Prime Minister Visits the BA

Mr. Antonis Samaras, former Prime Minister of Greece, paid a visit to the BA on Thursday, 21 July 2016 to become more acquainted with the institution as a beacon of civilization and knowledge in Egypt and the world.
The esteemed guest was received by Dr. Sherif Riad, Head of the BA External Relations Sector, who accompanied him on a tour of the BA facilities.
Mr. Antonis Samaras visited the reading area; the “Our Digital World” Exhibition where he became acquainted with the digital and technological projects. Mr. Samaras also visited the Internet Archive, the Taha Hussein Library, as well as the BA exhibitions and museums, such as Impressions of Alexandria, the Manuscripts Museum, the Antiquities Museum, and the Sadat Museum.
Furthermore, he watched a culturama show on the history of Egypt and president Anwar Sadat. Concluding his visit, Mr. Samaras added a few words to the BA guestbook.
