Play Reading of Le Cid at the BA

The Reference Services Unit is holding its monthly play reading in French on Wednesday, 2 June 2010. Participants will read Le Cid by Pierre Corneille.
The play begins when Don Diègue and Cont De Gomès decide to have their children Rodrigue and Chimène marry each other. However, the Cont, blinded by jealousy, attacks Don Diègue for being chosen as a tutor for the prince. The later decided to take revenge and urges his son to kill the Cont. Chimène tries, but in vain, to discard her feelings and asks the king to avenge her father. But who wins at the end; love or revenge?
The session starts at 16:00 hrs. at the BA Arts and Multimedia Library. Participants should register their names at the General Information Desk at the Library entrance.
